Dear Paper Pumpkin,

Dear Paper Pumpkin,

You are amazing! Over the years, you’ve arrived at my home faithfully, always on time!. When I go to my mailbox and see you, you always look so sharp all dressed up in bright colors! You always make me smile, but not because of your outward appearance, everyone knows that true beauty comes from within.

Today, I feel the need to apologize. Although I’ve enjoyed our monthly meetings, I’m afraid that after admiring you, I often got distracted and neglected to spend the time with you that I should. It’s not that I don’t love you. It’s just that I didn’t invest the quality time with you that you so deserve.

I want you to know that all of that is about to change. I am no longer going to be a Paper Pumpkin Procrastinator!!

Paper Pumpkin Procratinator

During the current pandemic, I have seen so many people turn to you for help! You have been there for parents who are looking for home school art projects for their kids. You have brought joy to those who have been social distanced from friends and family. You have provided comfort and inspiration to those who just need a creative break from their daily routine! You provide me with the opportunity to uplift others by sharing your projects. Encouraging others is something that is very important to me, so thank you!

The best thing that has happened recently is the Paper Pumpkin Procrastinators Parties that my friend and downline Laura DuBois and I have been hosting. We have spent such quality time talking about you and how beautiful you are. There are some in our group who faithfully spend time with you the day you arrive. They have inspired the other procrastinators in our group to follow their example. It has been fun learning, growing and sharing together while making you our central focus!!

Speaking of sharing. My friend Laura LOVED the time she spent with you in May. Just look at this awesome photo of some of the projects she created with your help.

Laura with Love Alternate Paper Pumpkin Cards

Laura brought all these ideas to our party and it made everyone happy.

I loved discovering our new Stampin’ Up! In Colors for the first time when I spent time with you in May. I created some alternate projects as well with what you gave me.

May Paper Pumpkin Alternate Projects

My favorite alternate project was this card here. You inspired me to turn my rainbow upside down. Now, I have a card that expressed just how amazing I think “U” are!!!

I recorded the fun I had with you in May, so I could share the fun with others. Here is the video.

In conclusion, I want to say thank you! You’ve always been such a patient and faithful friend, sitting on the side waiting for me to craft with you.

Now that I am hosting monthly Paper Pumpkin Procrastinator Parties with Laura, I promise to be better at spending time with you as soon as you arrive. I also want to thank you in advance for your visit in June. You are due to arrive today and rumor has it you are bringing me a PINEAPPLE. Oh My. I am so glad that I don’t have to social distance with you! Expect a big hug!

Spending quality time with you has been so much fun! I look forward to our next creative adventure together.

Stamped Blessings,

Cindy Baughman “a paper pumpkin procrastinator no more”
