Sending a little ALOHA

Happy Aloha Friday Friends,

Today I just want to share a quick post to let you know what has been happening the past few days while I have been quarantined at home. I have been working really hard at reorganizing my office as well as diving into launching a more “online” presence in my business. I’ve created 5 stampin’ videos over the past few days. Three are public on my You Tube channel and two are private for some upcoming online classes I’m working on.

On Tuesday, I am hosting a virtual downline meeting. As I was preparing, I knew I needed to get some “Congratulation” cards done for members of my downline. I created an “out of the box” Pineapple Card that uses some of the FREE items I received during Saleabration.

Our Stampin’ Up!® Saleabration Special ends on the 31st of this month. This is the BEST time to order and join Stampin’ Up!® because of all the benefits you can receive. So don’t miss out, there’s only a few days left!!!

This Pineapple card I made was created using Saleabration items, so I wanted to jump on quick before Saleabration ends to share this idea with you.

At the start of Saleabration, I did this card for a swap that I participated in. I created the Pineapple by die cutting an Oval with the Layering Oval Dies and then I stamped the lotus blossom image in Old Olive Ink onto Old Olive Card stock to create the Pineapple Crown.

Out of the Box Pineapple Card

As I look at this card I am filled with awe and wonder as I think of where I was physically at the start of Saleabration. This card was created in mid December 2019 when I was still going through Chemo treatments for Stage 4 Lymphoma. My friend Lynsay, came from Canada to visit and she is the only reason I was able to participate in the swap! I didn’t have the strength to do a lot of stamping then, so while I rested, she worked on swap cards for me. I am so thankful for people like Lynsay who came along side of me to support me through that difficult season.

Creating Tropical Card Swaps with Lynsay

I am grateful to be feeling so much better now. It feels great to have strength and to be stamping again. Lynsay and I were talking yesterday about my videos. I told her I knew they weren’t perfect as I was having sound issues and all of this is new to me. Lynsay said, she thought they were great and she told me that people who know me will just be excited to hear my voice and know that I am feeling better. That made me feel happy! Lynsay is so good at encouraging others and making them feel good!

The card I created last night is basically this same card, I just made a few adjustments. I changed the texture from the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder to the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder. For the flower, I used the Saleabration Small Blooms punch with a Frosted Flower Embellishment. I changed the sentiment to one from the Thoughtful Blooms Saleabration Set, I also added a strip of designer paper from the Tropical Oasis Suite.

Out of the Box Pineapple Card

I had fun creating these out of the box cards. If you’d like to see a step by step demonstration, you can watch my You Tube video here.

Well, I hope you are all staying safe and staying hopeful and positive. Although this is a very challenging time, we are all in this together! I have been so uplifted by all the ways people around the world are sharing love, kindness and hope through online sources.

Yesterday, Lynsay invited me to do a LIVE online workout with her. It was hosted by F45 in California.

Online F45 Workout

After it was over we sent pics to each other to show how sweaty we were, but we were still smiling as it was a really great workout! And how fun to get to workout along side of Mario Lopez and Mark Wahlberg!

I’m really missing time spent with friends. This morning, My friends and I had our first online get together.

It was wonderful to console one another, encourage one another and even laugh together!

Well, its time for me to get back to my office and continue to clean and reorganize! Is anyone else out there doing a lot of cleaning and organizing too?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post today. Know that I am thinking of you and praying for you! Let’s all remember to lift up anyone who is struggling right now, as well as those on the front lines! Especially those job requires them to be at work, those who are taking care of the sick or those working hard at finding a cure. They are all heros!

If you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious, here is something positive to focus on from Isaiah 41:10

So, do not fear, for I AM WITH YOU; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

With love, prayers and ALOHA,

Cindy
