It's Doctor's Day!

Last week my Dad, who suffers from dementia, had to go to the hospital. My Mom went with him, but when they arrived, they were quickly separated due to the importance of isolating and protecting everyone from the corona virus. This was a very hard situation for my Mom who never leaves my Dad’s side. My Mom is the most amazing caregiver. The thing that really helped my Mom that day, was the treatment she received from the medical staff at the hospital. Thankfully, after a few hours, she was able to bring my Dad home and so far, he is doing much better.

Since then, the emergency room doctor called my Mom and even gave her contact information should she have any more issues with my Dad. My Mom was so impressed with the treatment she received. As a daughter, it made me feel good to know that my parents were treated so well! This very hard situation was made a little better, due to the kindness and compassion from doctors and nurses who truly care!

Over the weekend, I created this punch art Doctor card to send to the Doctor who took care of my parents.

Punch Art Doctor

When I reflect upon this past year, I know that I met some of the most incredible medical professionals. I feel so blessed by the excellent care that I received during my cancer battle.

Since some of them are female, I created a female version of this card as well.

Punch Art Nurse

You can easily adjust these cards to create a female doctor or a male nurse. For suggestions on how to do that and for a step by step tutorial on how to create these punch art images, click on the video links below.

Did you know that in the US today it is officially, National Doctor’s Day? I am glad that there is a day set aside to recognize and appreciate medical professionals who do such valuable work for our health and well being!

With our current health crisis, let’s take a moment to pray for those who are on the frontlines using their gits and talents to battle this disease! They are HERO’s and I am grateful to celebrate them all today.

Happy Doctor’s Day!

With A Grateful Heart,

Cindy
