A Birthday TOAST
When I thought of what my friend Lynne’s birthday wish might be, I thought it might be a loaf of Keto Friendly bread. Is there such a thing?, LOL!
I don’t know a lot about the Keto diet but I am pretty sure that bread and sugar are not a part of the plan, two of Lynne’s favorite things.
So with bread in mind, we decided to give her a monetary gift instead. After all, money is sometimes referred to as “bread” right? Since I am a theme loving, matchy-matchy person, I decided to create an out of the box bread card to go with her monetary gift.
Here is the card I made for Lynne.
I used a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Cinnamon Cider Card Stock to make this card. I folded it in half and used Paper Snips to cut the top a bit to resemble bread. I also used a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock that I textured with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I followed the same pattern by fussy cutting the top a bit so it would line up and look like a slice of bread. I used a sponge with Cinnamon Cider ink to brush onto the “crust”.
For the pat of butter, I stamped a small piece of Daffodil Delight Card Stock with an image from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I fussy cut the sentiment out omitting the word “you”. I then layered it onto a piece of Daffodil Delight Card Stock that I had cut into a small rectangle and rounded the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. I covered this whole piece with Shimmery Crystal Effects, after adhering it to the front of the card. The word “bread” was die cut out of Garden Green Card Stock using the Playful Alphabet Dies.
Inside the card, I printed my own sentiment on a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock which looked like this.
My friend Cindy, who does the Cookie and Card Collaboration with me is a woman of many talents. If you read my blog, you probably already knew that. Cindy made Lynne a gorgeous ribbon lei and added our monetary gift by folding the bills into flowers. The lei is the color of money with 3 flowers made out of cash. What a creative and fun way to bless Lynne on her birthday. Doesn’t she look beautiful?
It was fun to make Lynne smile on her special day. Although, I really miss our birthday night outs, it has been fun to continue to find creative and safe ways to bless one another during this unique season we are all in.
Happy Birthday Lynne! Here is a birthday TOAST for you:
May you be blessed with many more Happy Birthdays and I hope one day you’ll find some, zero calorie Keto Friendly Bread so that ALL your birthday wishes will come true.
