Sharing Sunshine
You better get your sunglasses on, cause this post is all about the bright, sunny and fun projects I designed for my Sharing Sunshine class. In my new class format, guests had the opportunity to purchase a kit that not only had the Sharing Sunshine stamp set in it but all the supplies prepped and ready to make 7 projects.
My guests could choose to stamp with me LIVE via zoom OR to make the projects on their own time following exclusive video tutorials.
In today’s post I want to share with you all of the fun projects that were a part of this class.
Here they are as a group. Aren’t they cute?
Let’s take a closer look at each one.
Project 1 is this simple post it note holder, with yellow post it notes inside of course.
You can’t tell in the photo but I used Laura’s Tape Technique on the scallop circle, so this project shines when you move it.
This project shows how you could make a sunshine image using the Layering Circle Dies with the face image from the Sharing Sunshine stamp set.
All of the projects in this class feature the Pierced Bloom Dies to make the little flower that are accented with Artistry Blooms Sequins.
Project #2 is this cute little mini pencil holder.
You can really see Laura’s Tape Technique on the scalloped yellow circle of this one. This project features the exact same sun as I put on the post it holder.
Do you see the fun embossing on this project? It was created with the Star-Crossed Embossing Folder. This amazing folder features 2 different patterns in one folder. I used this folder on many of the projects in this class.
Project #3 is this sweet little chap stick box.
When I purchased these tiny little yellow lip balms I knew exactly who to call to help me design a small box. My friend demonstrator Zeny Lucey is and expert template maker and she is as sweet and as cute the tiny box she designed for me.
Project #4 is this mini explosion card.
I used the turkish map fold to create the inside of this mini card. Even though this card is small there was still enough room to feature all three different sun ray images from the Sharing Sunshine stamp set.
Project #5 is the SWEETEST ever thanks to Cindy Ontai of Zoe, Hawaii.
All I did to feature Cindy’s cookie was to place it in one of our 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 Acetate Boxes and wrap it with a simple belly band. I used two images from the Sharing Sunshine stamp set to add a decorative pattern on the band. I love collaborating with Cindy and think she did such an amazing job on this cookie!
Project #6 is this fun accordion fold card.
The small card pictured at the bottom is the cover that is attached to a belly band. Once you slide it off, the card expands to showcase 5 sunny and fun images and individual letters created with the Playful Alphabet Dies. The letters spell out the word HELLO. This is such a fun card and one that is sure to brighten someone’s day.
Project #7 is this sweet little golden pineapple box.
I saved this project to share last because this is the only project that I made a public video for. I wanted to show the simple way I used this set to create an “out of the box” pineapple. This sweet little treat box is filled with gummy pineapples and was a favorite project by many who took my class.
If you’d like to see how I created the pineapple box project, you can click on the video link below to watch a short video.
Here’s another card sample I made using this fun pineapple image.
I loved this class because right now so many people I know are going through some really tough circumstances. Even someone at my class mentioned how just being at the class helped them feel happy and provided an escape from the challenges they have been facing. I also love that each person who came to my class not only had the opportunity to experience a fun time making these projects but this class also came with a mailing box and a custom label so that they could share these projects and brighten the day of someone they love.
If you were someone who took this class, leave a comment below to share what you loved about it or how you will use it to share a little sunshine with someone else.
I hope that this post will inspire you with some creative ways to be an encouragement to others and make the world a brighter place.
Sunny Smiles,
Cindy
