Red Ginger for Mom

Once a week I drive my Mom to Punchbowl National Cemetery to visit my Dad’s final resting place. An hour or so before we leave, my Mom goes into her backyard and cuts the most amazing flowers to bring to the cemetery. My Mom has such a green thumb. It must come from her Dad who was a Master Gardener! I have enjoy taking my Mom to the cemetery. We always walk slowly to admire all the beautiful flowers and leis people have brought for their loved ones and it gives us a chance to think about my Dad. Gosh, I sure miss him. I know that going there makes my Mom happy and its nice to see her smile as she admires all the beautiful flowers.

Below are the flowers my Mom brought from her garden to the cemetery last week.

Flowers from my Mom’s garden

The flowers on the left are Red Ginger flowers. I have these growing in my yard too, they are one of my favorites.

Since Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend, I used these beautiful flowers to inspire the Mother’s Day Card I made for my Mom.

Piereced Blooms Red Ginger Card

Here is is a Red Ginger card made with the amazing In Bloom stamp set and Pierced Blooms dies!

Since discovering this wonderful bundle, I’ve made a lot of cards. So far, this Red Ginger card is my favorite.

Pierced Blooms Red Ginger Card

It’s hard to see in this photo but I used the “LTT” or Laura’s Tape Technique on this card by placing clear tape over the Real Red card stock before I die cut the leaves.
If you’d like to see how I made this card and get all the measurements, you can watch my video tutorial here.

Did you know you can also make a Red Ginger flower with just the stamps in the In Bloom Stamp Set. I’ll share that with you in a future post as well as several different tropical flower cards I’ve created with this amazing bundle. There are SO MANY things you can do with the In Bloom Stamp Set and Pierced Blooms Dies. The possibilities are endless!!!

I really look forward to blessing my Mom with this card on Sunday. I know she’s gonna love it and hope you do too!!!

Happy Mother’s Day Everyone!

With Love and Many Blessings,

Cindy
