Peony Garden Projects
Early this morning, I took a walk in my neighborhood. I stopped by my mom’s backyard to visit her from a distance, while admiring her beautiful garden. My mom has a plumeria tree, red and blue ginger and even a pineapple plant. I love the bright, vibrant colors and the fragrance of the flowers.
While on my walk, I enjoyed seeing lots of beautiful tropical flowers, but one flower I didn’t see was Peonies. I usually have to go into a florist shop to enjoy those. Are you fortunate enough to have peonies growing in your garden? I think they are beautiful.
Someone recently asked me, “what is your favorite new Stampin’ Up! catalog suite”? I had to pause and think because there are so many new suites that I really love. At the time, I was working on a set of projects for an upcoming Inspiration Night with my team, so I answered, Prized Peony!
Here are the projects I designed this month using this gorgeous suite.
Each project in this series uses the following coordinating products, the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper, Elegant Faceted Gems, Square Vellum Doilies and the Prized Peony Bundle.
Project one features the spotlight technique. I used a 2 1/4 circle punch of our new Brass Foil sheets to back the colored, spotlighted 2 inch circle punch section of this card.
The next card is a monochromatic sympathy card. The designer paper is so gorgeous and it coordinates perfectly with this image from the Prized Peony stamp set.
Project three is my favorite. With shopping being more difficult to do in this season, this card on a card provides a fun way to send a gift card and encouraging note all in one.
If you’d like to learn how I created the “Card On A Card” technique, you can watch my video tutorial here.
Finally, all of these cards are bundled together and packaged in this beautiful box.
The 3D Peony flower on the front looks difficult to make, but its OH so easy! To learn how to assemble it, you can watch my video tutorial by clicking below.
In fact, if you would like to learn ALL these projects, this entire series is now live on my YOUTUBE Channel. You can get to my channel by CLICKING HERE.
I got a lot of positive feedback from my team on these projects. Some of them shared that this suite is their favorite too. If you want to check it out, look at pages 82-84 of the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 annual catalog. If you haven’t received a copy yet, I give them free with any sized product purchase. So, be sure to let me know if you’d like one.
Whether it be peonies or plumerias, I am grateful today for the beauty of God’s creation all around me.
Thank you for walking with me through these Peony Garden Projects.
With Love and Blessings,
Cindy
