Out of the Box PINEAPPLE CARD

When I flipped through the pages of our latest Stampin’ Up! catalog, it was the Hippo and Friends Dies that caught my eye. Demonstrator Robyn Cardon, the designer of the Hippo Happiness Bundle, did such an amazing job creating this fun product. When I saw the die set for the first time, I immediately thought of an “out of the box” way to use it.

I took one of the frames, die cut it with Bumblebee Card Stock and embossed it with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. Then I took a piece of Just Jade Card Stock and die cut the pineapple crown from the In The Tropics Dies, and a unique, out of the box pineapple was born!

As I continued to create the card base, I realized this card would be the perfect way to introduce our new 2020-2022 Stampin’ Up"! In Colors. After all, pineapples are symbols of hospitality and welcome, right?

Here is the card I created.

Out of the Box IN COLOR PINEAPPLE CARD

It’s hard to see in the photo but the card base is cut so that the Pineapple shape acts as the front flap of the card. I also used the adorable stamp set CUTE FRUIT to create the simple sentiment that is stamped on the front of this card.

This card is easy to make. You can watch my video tutorial by clicking below, to learn how.

Have you noticed how much I love the CUTE FRUIT stamp set? I’ve shared projects that I’ve stamped with it in my last 3 posts and I know you’re gonna see it many more times because I just can’t get enough of this cute stamp set.

In fact, I am currently hosting a fundraise for the Hawaii Foodbank called, Stampin’ Out Hunger with CUTE FRUIT. In case you missed it in my last post, here are the details, plus an update on my goal.
