So Refreshing! The Spirit Of Giving Stamp Camp Card & Update
On October 21, 2023 we hosted an in-person Spirit of Giving stamp camp after a considerable hiatus. It was so refreshing to be back in person and contributing to a wonderful cause—the Make Lemonade Project which is a local charitable organization. Supporting this great cause was our primary mission for this stamp camp. We also created some lovely holiday projects with items from the Beary Cute suite.
The love and support I received during my 2019 battle with cancer left an indelible mark on my heart. After entering remission and regaining my strength, I felt a strong urge to pay it forward. My heart was touched by the remarkable journey of Michael and Kelsey Darling, a young couple from Honolulu who began an eight-year cancer battle shortly after their wedding. Their experience led them to establish the ‘Make Lemonade Project’, an organization that supports cancer patients on multiple fronts. It offers financial aid to ease the burden of the high costs associated with cancer treatment and brightens the days of patients by setting up lemonade stands in local cancer centers, providing free products and emotional support.
In a world where fighting cancer is not only physically but also financially challenging, the Make Lemonade Project stands as a symbol of hope, unity, and generosity.
Our team aimed to achieve a fundraising target of $3,000 at this event.
We adopted creative strategies to reach our goal. We allocated a portion of every event fee to donations. Additionally, we hosted a mini craft fair, featuring handmade items sold to our guests, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Make Lemonade Project. Moreover, a special lemon-themed Cookie and Card Collaboration, created by Cindy of Zoe, Hawaii, and myself, directed all its proceeds to the Make Lemonade Project. Cindy's delightful sweet treats sold out rapidly, making it challenging to capture many photos. We extend our gratitude to all those who purchased this set, contributing to our mission of making a meaningful impact on the ‘Make Lemonade Project’

In this refreshing Spirit of Giving stamp camp all of our projects were gift-related. Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks because I’ll share some of the fun paper crafts we made featuring the ‘Beary Cute Suite’ by Stampin’ Up! Today, I wanted to focus on the event itself and express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us and helped us with our goal.
We were immensely grateful to have Lisa Curcio from Lisa's Stamp Studio join us for a special 'virtual' segment of our camp. Lisa delivered an outstanding demonstration that our guests found truly delightful. It was a cherished moment for everyone to connect with her.
We also felt incredibly fortunate to have Natalie White from the Stampin' Up! home office present live at our event. It was a remarkable gift for our attendees."
Hearing and sharing stories was so special and we really felt the aloha spirit in the room!
Our team felt incredibly fortunate when a fantastic group traveled all the way from Maui to join us and generously shared some unique Maui treats. It was a heartwarming and special gesture from this wonderful group. We waited until the end of the event to savor these gifts, allowing us to fully appreciate and celebrate all the day's happenings
A few days later we met for our monthly Inspiration Night. We invited Kelsey and presented our event donation to her. We exceeded our goal by more than $1,000! It left us absolutely astounded and filled with deep gratitude for the incredible support from everyone.
As a 2 time cancer survivor I loved having the opportunity to give back in the same way people gave to me. I am thankful for my team and the entire Stamped With Aloha family! I feel like this is only the beginning for us to use our creative gifts and talents to bless this wonderful organization.
Thank you so much to all who came to support this event. You lived out loud the true Spirit Of Giving!
We are SO VERY grateful for you!
With love and blessings,
Cindy
