Penguin Party Stamp Camp
The day I first laid eyes on the Penguin Place Stamp Set, I knew without a doubt that this would be the featured set at our annual holiday stamp camp.
When we found out we were going to have to make this a virtual event, we decided to try something new.
We kicked off our event with a virtual penguin-themed pajama party.
I loved having a reason to buy new pajamas to wear to work!
When our guests received their project kit, along with the make and take supplies they received this cute box!
I wonder how many of our guests followed instructions and how many peeked inside?
At the start of our pajama party we instructed our guests to open the box and this is one of the things they found inside.
It was fun to highlight the words “EAT” in create and let our guests know that there was a sweet treat tucked inside the box for them to enjoy during the event.
At the pajama party event, we did a virtual make and take, played some games and we revealed the stamp camp projects.
As soon as the session ended we emailed 5 exclusive video tutorials and a PDF so our guests could complete their projects in the comfort of their own homes.
Want to have a closer look at the projects?
Project number one was this adorable Christmas Ornament.
This project shows that a clear block can be used for other things than just stamping. If you aren’t familiar with how to make the sunglasses you can watch my Penguin Punch Art video on YouTube by clicking the link below.
The next project in the camp was a gift card holder. Since I was in charge of this project you know I had to give the penguin a hula skirt!
Did you notice how we strategically embossed the word “mahalo” on this project? We did that using the fabulous Thanks and Hello Embossing Folders. These penguins, like the ornament above were punched out of Black Glimmer Paper which makes them extra sparkly and fun.
Project number 3 was this set of 6 mini cards. They all featured stamped penguins from the Penguin Place stamp set.
We were able to create cards for many different occasions because this stamp set is so versatile.
It’s hard to tell from these photos but the Whimsy and Wonder Designer Series Paper is so gorgeous. It is specialty paper that really shimmers and shines. Since we made 6 cards, we were able to feature every single shiny piece from the collection.
Now that we have a set of cute cards, we needed a cute way to package them.
Here is the cute purse that demonstrator Zeny Lucey designed. This purse holds all 6 cards and 6 mini envelopes too!
Here is a side view of the inside of the purse. It folds together so nicely and the cards fit inside like a glove.
The final camp project was this pretty little album.
I was taught this project by my friend demonstrator Missy Shipman. Normally a project like this would be out of my comfort zone but with a little bit of practice, I learned how! Now I can’t stop making these fun books, they make such great gifts! The best part about the book is the pretty binding which I now realize I forgot to take a photo of. Don’t worry, I will be making a public video of this project in the near future so be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you won’t miss it.
In addition to these projects, our guests watched a virtual showcase of other projects designed by my stamp camp team. The things they shared were fabulous and well received by our guests.
Although we were sad to not be able to meet in person, our guests told us they LOVED this format because it was like they had a front-row seat to all the demonstrations. It made us happy to know that all our hard work was appreciated and that everyone who attended seemed to have a really great time.
Mahalo to Jodi, Norine, Berd, and Zeny for making this event a huge success.
I am looking forward to more fun events like this in the future and more opportunities to work in my holiday penguin pajamas!
If you were someone who attended this year’s camp, we’d love to hear how you enjoyed it. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
Stamped Blessings,
Cindy
