How To Make An Ube-Themed Snowman Box
In a recent class, I surprised my guests with a special treat! An Ube Snowman Treat Box! If you are unfamiliar with Ube, it is a purple yam with a sweet, coconut-like taste. Ube is popular here in Hawaii in all kinds of dishes and even desserts!
This little box is made from one of our new scalloped gift card boxes. If you don’t want to use this box as a gift card holder, just remove the gift card insert and you’ll have space for a fun treat! Want to see how I made this box? Watch the video below.
How to Make An Ube Themed Snowman Box….
Cindy Ontai of Zoe, Hawaii makes THE BEST COOKIES!! I wanted to surprise my class by filling each treat box with two of her special Ube Cookies that are dark purple in color with powdered sugar sprinkled on top. Now, I am pretty good about not eating a lot of sweets but Cindy’s Ube cookies are one thing I find hard to resist. When I finished filming the video I figured it would be fine for me to eat one of the cookies; they were sooooo good that I ended up eating both!
You might wonder… what is so wrong about eating the cookies?? Well, I FORGOT TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THEM TO SHARE WITH YOU!!!!!
SORRY!
Well, you’ll just have to take my word for it. They were really, really good!! And what they look like will remain a mystery until I order another batch from Cindy for another project!!
This Ube snowman project features the Deckled Circle Dies and a couple of punches. It is a project that is right up my alley! It is a snowman, which I love, it is punch art, which I also love and it has (or used to have) a fun matchy matchy sweet treat inside which obviously I loved so much I ate it ALL.
And that is how the cookie crumbled.
With love and blessings,
Cindy
