Need A Creative Handmade Graduation Card Idea That's Fun To Make?

Graduation season is here! I’ve got a creative handmade graduation card idea that is also a fun fold card. This Graduation Gown card can be easily personalized for the special graduates in your life by changing the cardstock color to match their school or adding embellishments that are meaningful.

I learned how to make this card from demonstrator Missy Shipman who taught a Kimono Card at our Symbols of Fortune Class last month.

Missy learned how to make this template from demonstrator Dawn Olchefske. I am thankful for friends who inspire me with creative card tips, tricks, techniques, and templates.

My first recipient to make this handmade graduation card for was Austin who is graduating from the University of Hawaii this weekend. Lei ceremonies are a huge part of graduation here so I added some lei’s to Austin’s card using the ‘Bough Punch’ and the ‘Eden Dies’.

One of the dies from the ‘Beautiful Shapes Dies’ makes the perfect Graduation Cap to add to a belly band.

The two graduation cards below were personalized by changing up the school colors. I added gold cords to the blue and orange card that I created for Abby who is graduating with honors from a school in the midwest.

The card on the right is for Eliza. Who is graduating from a school in Canada.

I added strips of cardstock to the collar of Eliza’s card after seeing her graduation photo, pictured below. We are so proud of Eliza who is graduating as Valedictorian of her class!

Graduation is such a special milestone. We are thankful that many of the restrictions have been lifted this year so that seniors can celebrate this momentous occasion surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Congratulations to all the graduates of the class of 2022. May God bless and direct each step you take as you begin this new chapter of your lives.

With Aloha,
Aunty Cindy
