Fun In The Sun Paper Pumpkin Kit

I love being a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber. These wonderful all inclusive crafting kits make it quick and easy to create projects. You can create the projects in the kit following the kit instructions OR you can use the kit contents and come up with alternative ideas.

When I opened up this months kit, I had a hard time thinking about altering the cards because the designs were SO CUTE!!!

The kit contains everything you need to create these three card designs three times each. Can you tell that these are “pop-up” cards? Here’s a side profile of one of the cards so you can see the detail.

I decided that for my alternate cards I would only use three of the cards to make alternate designs. However, using the three card bases and coordinating supplies, I was able to create 4 alternate cards.

The first three designs I made were created using Basic White Note Cards. Although these card bases didn’t come in the kit, I always have them in stock because they are so easy to work with when you want to make a quick card. I cut up one of the “pop-up” card bases and one envelope to complete these three designs.

For my final card, I took all of the extra pieces I had left over and combined them to make my own “pop-up”card. The only thing I added was the sun that I created using the Stylish Shapes Dies and a scrap of Crushed Curry Card Stock. I also changed up the sentiment using a stamp from the Zany Zoo Stamp Set so I could make this card into a birthday card.
