True Love Clear Block Photo Frame
Today I want to share a quick and simple project idea that I hope you will LOVE. This project was a part of my True Love Paper Crafting class. The True Love Designer Series Paper is absolutely stunning as you can see in my class project samples pictured here.
As I was designing the projects for the class I came up with an “idea” to take a clear block and transform it into a picture frame. At first I tried to overcomplicate it, measuring and scoring card stock pieces to try and make a holder to mount on the back of the block. Then I glanced across the table and saw a clear envelope. I picked it up, cropped it down a bit and held it to the back of the block to discover it was a PERFECT fit. Within a few minutes I was jumping for joy when I realized how quick, simple and fun creating this project would be.
The insert I created is removable. You can easily slide it out to change the photo or add a new insert. I used to teach a class called a “year in a day” scrapbook class. Now after creating this idea, I can’t wait to design a “year in a day” photo frame class with special inserts for each month. Wouldn’t that be fun?
Below is another sample I created. This frame shows a sentiment from our So Sentimental stamp set and a cute scalloped frame created with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. All of the fussy cut flowers are from the Flower and Field DSP that is a part of our annual saleabration that is happening now.
During my class today, Karen, one of the attendees shared how much she LOVED this project idea and was inspired to recreate it. Within an hour of class ending she texted me a photo of 2 clear block photo frames she had designed. Wow, that was fast. Her frames were beautiful and the fact that she did it so quickly really made my day.
