Back On Your Feet!

In over 20 years as a Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator, I have NEVER received a phone call like the one I did last week. It was my downline Leanna. The first thing she said was, “you will NEVER BELIEVE what I’ve just done”!!! I could tell by her voice that she was in a bit of a panic. I asked her what was wrong and she responded, “I’ went to put eye drops in my eye and I accidentally grabbed a reinker bottle instead!!! I’ve just finished flushing out my eye, thank God this product is acid free”. She then asked, “Has anyone ever done this before”? Leanna’s dilema was certainly a first for me. I was glad that after washing out her eye, she felt much better! We spoke the next day and she was already able to laugh about the incident. I couldn’t believe of all the colors of reinker it could have been, she used RED!!!

Well, right after the call, I wanted to make her a card. So, I grabbed the adorable, Back On Your Feet stamp set. The same set that I created the sloth card I posted yesterday. I got to work and came up with this design to send to Leanna.

Back On Your Feet Card

The outside sentiment of this card was created with a stamp from the Sorry For Everything stamp set.

For the inside of the card I used the words that said, “I hope you’re back on your feet again soon”. This sentiment comes from the Back On Your Feet stamp set. Since the sentiment talks about being on your feet, I found a way to do just that with the turtle image!

Back On Your Feet Card (inside)

This turtle not only pop’s up when you open the card but he also is standing and waving and if you look closely, his frown is turned upside down. I used a marker to create a smiling face and a Stampin’ Blend marker to create rosy cheeks.

I imagine this is what Leanna looked like after her eyes felt better and she was back on her feet again!

You can watch a video tutorial of this card by clicking the link below.

This turtle card is not only appropriate for Leanna, but is also is perfect to send to anyone who may be down right now with the current pandemic we are facing. I can think of several business owners who have had to close their doors who would appreciate some much needed encouragement at this time.

Well, I just got off the phone with Leanna and I am happy to report that she is doing great!!! She is back on her feet being the spunky gal that she is and she is still stamping!. Just look at the beautiful card she created for a virtual swap I hosted for my downline a few days ago. You might notice there is no RED ink on this card, I think she put that pad away for awhile, LOL.

Leanna’s Tulip Card

Remember that today’s turtle card is just part 2 of a four part series. The next card I will be sharing is actually my favorite of the bunch and I hope it will make you smile.

If you’re heart is heavy right now, stamping is a great stress reliever! So, I hope you will find the time to create some hand stamped blessings to encourage others. I think by doing so, you will feel encouraged yourself because when you make a card and send a card, you make a difference.

If you are feeling down right now, I pray that you too will be back on your feet again soon!

With love and stamped blessings,

Cindy
