Hey, Love

Valentine’s Day is here and love is in the air! I thought today I would share a whole variety of projects I’ve been making for this special day. First of all, I love the new HEY, LOVE Stamp Set! It is adorable. I’ve used it on several projects this month. Simple projects like this little pink lollipop.

And for this fun pop up Pizza Box, an idea I learned from my downline Norine Oyasato.

Of all the images in the set, I think I like the ape the best. I not only used him for this pop up box but also for this little favor that holds red hot heart shaped candies.

Hey Love Favor

I also created this card, featuring the Otter.

He’s adorable, just like my sweetheart of 30 years!

I hope that however you celebrate Valentine’s Day today that you will feel loved. Because you are! Did you know that God loved you so much that he sent his only son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins? That is a wonderful promise found in the Bible in the book of John chapter 3 verse 16.

Sometimes we live and work in places where we don’t feel loved or appreciated. I hope that today no matter what you face you will not only feel loved but you will be motivated to share love and encouragement with others.

Here are some ways I’ve witnessed love in my life this past week.

I went on a short walk with my Dad who has dementia. He can’t talk to me anymore but he still communicates love in the way he smiles and is at peace in the midst of a storm. I also see the unconditional love my Mom gives him as she takes care of his every need.

I witnessed the love of a brother and sister, recreating this photo from long ago just to make their mamma happy!

Kalani and Jess

I experienced the sacrificial love of friends who took me on a birthday hike in the rain.

HIking in Manoa Falls

I know that hiking isn’t their favorite thing, but they went anyhow because it was what I wanted to do.

Their sacrificial love blessed me so! I love the way my friends show me often how much they love me.

During the hike I witnessed the love of God, not only through my friends actions but also by witnessing the beauty of His creation. One of the reasons I love to be out in nature!

And then this past weekend my wonderful family planned a surprise for me that was so incredible. I’ll have to share the story of what they did in another blog post. But what they did required a lot of time, energy and it was definitely motivated by love and made me feel so incredibly loved and blessed.

My Family

My prayer for you today is that if you are weak, you will find strength. If you are lost that you will find direction. If you are in the midst of a storm, that you would find peace, if you are discouraged that you will find hope and if are feeling unloved that you would seek God because he promises to draw near to you and when you seek him you will find him and know his unconditional, everlasting love that he has for you.

“You Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you”. Psalm 86:5.

“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13

Happy Valentine’s Day Friends!

With lots of Love and Aloha,

Meant To Be

Cindy
